Picture of a friend of mine's Sonex that flew in today. Speedy little thing with a 120 HP Jabiru engine and sounds like a P51 Mustang. Now that I'd done with the L16, I'm thinking.............

A friend of mine who has a BC12D T-Craft just finished building a Sonex. He has about 25 hours on it and really likes it. (He was an F 15 Mechanic in the Airforce) If you look at the Sonex website, his name is Randy Risjan. I have his cell no. if you want it. JP
We have two Sonex in our flying club. Both with the Jabiru engines. We have a couple of us that have restored Aeroncas L16's and my Champ. One who built a RV-9 and one guy (79) who built a RV6, RV8, Sonex, Savaanah (kind of a take off on a Zenith) and is about 80% done with a RV12. He started the 12 just after the first of the year. Beautiful plane but probably out of my price range, about $75,000. I'm ready to start something else but no more total basket cases. Needs to be a kit or complete plane with good paperwork. A Chief would be good, I guess.
