Hi guys,
New member here but been lurking for awhile. I just picked up a 41 65tc tha's been apart for about 17 years with some left wing damage plus assorted stuff through the decades. It was over on it's back about 1970 and had a tail welded on it and new spars and struts. I'm sure people have started with a lot worse! Good news is there is no rust but some bent tubing on thr fuselage.
I'm sure I'll have lots of questions coming up and right now I will need a left strut or where to get one made, jury struts and probably several ribs to start. Any leads on bigger drawings or sources for some of this stuff appreciated. Thanks, Archie.

Archie,
Glad to have you onboard. I have a 1942 65TAC that's flying, if there's anything I can do to help just let all of us know. I'm out here on the Left Coast where the Sierra's are on fire and the Bay Bridge is down for mainenence. But don't worry about the bridge the're adding additional ferrys to the San Francisco side.

Archie,
What Mike said. Paul has forgot more than most of us know.
Welcome to the land of Aeroncas. You is now an Aeroncateer!
Wag-Aero has a nice catalog of Aeronca parts and are somewhat competitive.
This is Richard in Ohio and I'm finishing repairs and a recover on a 7CCM I purchased last October. (maybe one more month 'til she flys again)

Richard,
I'm looking forward to seeing your plane at Middletown. Only about 10 months away.
Thanks guys for all of your confidence. I learn this stuff by making mistakes, I guess I've made a few of them.

Re: 41 65tc
Thanks for the welcome, I've stripped most of the fabric off on the fuselage and as I said there is some bent tubing here and there. I assume there is no jig for something this old so any ideas on how to check for straightness? I figure INeed some drawings and get out the tape measure? if the tubing wasn't bent during transport here and there than it flew this way for about 30 years so must not have been all bad! I haven't stripped the wings yet but know there are several ribs that will need replacing.
I'm really hoping the spars will be ok since they were replaced about 1970. Thanks, Archie.
