Re: 15AC Sedan Floats Complete for sale
Dik...Be nice now !?1Price depends on a few things...But give me a call; we're both in Alaska and that's my cell number.
Standard Sedan Edo's, everything has been on for a few seasons and operated under 135 Air Taxi Cert. ( Commercially and Legally )
My website: www.alaskaseaplanes.com has a picture at my dock in Homer
If you have a 180 horse on yours you don't need the prop nor will it fit...if you have a 165 that prop makes the difference...
Our lake is 'out' here...opened a couple of days ago!
Hi Joe!
Thanks...and thanks for your help!...gotta sell the floats and get the wings done before that happens!
82nd Birthday comin' next month so feeling the pinch!!

I will give you a call. I do have the C-145 and I do have a seaplane prop, but not that big succer. Thats the one you have to use 8.50 tires with when on wheels isnt it.

Re: 15AC Sedan Floats Complete for sale
Hi Dik...yeah that's the one.
I think you tried to call me yesterday but I didn't see it until last night; just getting a litlle breakfast and a cup of coffee end I 'll return the call,
The prop pulls hard and goes just about to redline on wheels. I put on six new cyl.s and was able to run at high rpms recommended by the shop.
I've only put 50 hrs on the prop because to tell the truth I prefer the regular prop on wheels and I use the pavement anyway for wheels so no dings...
Yes; we'll play phone tag here in a bit and talk..
Thanks

Re: 15AC Sedan Floats Complete for sale
Been trying to figure what kind of 'round price' I would need for the complete package;
Floats & Aeronca Rigging, big prop, big tires...everything listed above.
Haven't come up with an answer, and right now nobody is asking...But someone make me an offer .
I know what it adds up to in value... More than I expect to get, but I need to go flying "While I'm Young" !!
So what are they worth to someone with a Sedan ??
They are all ready to go and our lake is out...Summer is here
I've got a '62 997 Mini to sell too, worth about the same amount, and if I sell it first, I could keep the floats !?!

Dammit Bill....
Now you go and mention the Mini for sale!
Have loved them for years and always wanted one.... would look great in the garage next to the V-12!

Re: 15AC Sedan Floats Complete for sale
Hey Joe! It's a '62 Mini Cooper 997...one of the originals and rare!
It has been in my barn for 30 years....sold originally in Anchorage and only 25,000 miles.
Typical Alaska Car...upholstery and seats barely used and floor boards rusted out....it's a little bomb!
When I was racing an Aston in a former existence, I used to see them leaving Porches behind in the Sedan Racees...(late 50's)
But I'll call you sometime; don't feel right using space on here!!...(we have a lot in common !?!)
(Thinking of putting it on "Bring a Trailer"...)
