Does anyone have a source for the ball bearings for the Bendix SF4 mags? Fresno and Spruce don't list them specifically, though I suspect they might be interchangeable with later versions. I suspect they are some off the shelf standard size - anyone know the numbers? OD x ID by width if applicable? Mine were the separable type; I'd prefer to replace them with sealed regular ones. Probably would cost one tenth the "aircraft" price and better quality than the original. (Yes, my IA would be happy with that.)
I know I could measure them, but I'm not at the hangar now.

Take them out, go to a good bearing shop, and buy new ones. I do know the grease seals are standard parts, available a while back at NAPA, just like the front crank seal.
Back then, it made no sense to invent a strange bearing for a tractor part, which is what the SF series mags are. A farmer went to the auto parts store to fix things.

I guess Fresno does have them. Tried measuring them yesterday but the shaft seems to be an odd size - close to 15mm (5.93" or so) , whereas the outside dimension seems to be 1 3/8".
