We purchased NC81757 this weekend. It is a 1945 Aeronca Champ that was owned by the same family for 39 years. It has had a painstaking restoration and has logs to day one. Just looking those over is amazing.
The S/N Is 378.
I flew it home yesterday and my in-laws flew formation part of the way home in their Champ. Once we got to Clow (1C5) we pulled three Champs together for a welcoming party.
My wife and I are looking forward to our role as caretakers of this beautiful piece of aviation history.
