leaky fuel shutoff

has anyone had luck stopping the fuel valve in the bottom of the tank from leaking?
If so what did you do, I could use some direction.

Bill Pancake rebuilds them.

we cant get it out of the tank.

The valve should be removed from the tank to properly inspect and service it.

Use a wrench with a longer arm and it will come out.

Clean, burnish, and reassemble with fuel lube if the parts are not terribly worn.
