It is kinda like a double edged sword. It is nice to have flexibility if you know how to use it.

Buzz Wagner STC for O-235 Engine on a Aeronca 7AC
I have looked through past posts regarding the subject STC. Most are 5 or more years old. Is the STC still available and how does one get in contact with Mr. Wagner? Does the STC require modifications to the 7AC fuselage?
Thanks for your help.

Re: FAA Proposes Photos On Pilot Certificates
I think the biggest issue is where we have to go to get the photo taken and if it is farmed out to other agencies such as state driver’s license agency, how much they will charge us for using their "service". The time and effort we may have to undergo to drive to the FSDO will be cumbersom...

That was a nice overview. It has to be fun working on such a product.

Re: Routing of Fuel Valve Control
Robert, Keep up the good work. Maybe we can get together at Copperstate. Paul Paul I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. I volunteer to work the mobile registration golf cart. My wife works in the registration trailer. Maybe we can determine how to find each other as we get closer to the fly-in. Ro...

Re: Routing of Fuel Valve Control
Burl Thanks for the info. That helps. I hope to get back to the project and get the control installed. I have the drawing of the guard assembly kit. Thanks for offering it. As an aside, my wife and I just returned from a vacation trip to Alaska. We didn't have time to stop by to see you. :) We were ...

Routing of Fuel Valve Control
I am making some progress on my Champ. I have modified my interior panels to fit the raised floorboards. Now I am ready to fit the left side panel. I am not sure of the routing of the control arm that goes to the fuel valve. I also don't understand how the side panel fits at its forward position. Th...

I have one I can't use. It cost me $65 + shipping. I think it has a modified filler neck but I am not sure. I can send pictures if need be.

Re: Aviation Auction in New York this weekend.
Robert, Think "private trust" and there will not be any "estate sale!" Would hate to see this happen to the wonderful airplanes in your hangar! Joe A PS Who is still hoping to win the lotto so he can buy a house in Payson at the fly-in community where Robert lives! We do have a ...

Re: Champ Door Step
Looks great! Have you given some thought to "dress grinding" the weld a bit smoother? That would be the only suggestions I could give for improvements and know you will be a lot happier with it this way. Joe A It has been dress grounded already. I'll see how it looks after getting some pr...

Re: Aviation Auction in New York this weekend.
I hope this premium auction thing keeps going. I am probably out of the auction buying business but I hope my estate sale will bring premium prices when the time comes. The youngest of the 4 airplanes/projects in my hangar is my flying 1947 Bonanza.

Looks great! Cannot wait to see it on the airframe! Joe A Joe No longer do you need to wait. The step was welded on yesterday. Re: Aviation Auction in New York this weekend.
Anyone hear any of the results of the auction in New York.. Individuals or did some big outfit buy it all up? Doug Doug I spoke to a guy on the phone who attended the auction. He had purchased some stuff from the family before the auction as well. He said the J3 projects sold at a premium for their...

Re: 7AC door hangers
Thanks! I spoke with Tom and was given a PN, and then he arranged for me to transfer to Sales in about 2 minutes! Each hangar is $13.00 Doc Doc It took me 9 months to get them to make the hinges (FAA paperwork issues) and it cost me a little more per item. That is what happens when you are the one ...
