In the book "Aeronca's Golden Age" by Alan Abel, it states that the plant was moved in 1940 to Middletown. In 1941 the name of the company was changed to "Aeronca Aircraft Corporation". I am in need of a replacement dataplate for my 1941 Aeronca Super Chief which was manufactured...

Just some kinda lose and general background on the Ward Aero generator, and no regulatory complance discussion. The Ward Aero generator is "similar" and in the picture I show a prestolite/autolite Generator off of a 40 HP Johnson outboard motor marine series generator next to the Ward Aero...

1941 Chief Firewall and stab wires/lugs

Not sure if a Post War Chief fire wall will fit a 41' Pre-War Chief, and if not is there an issue with triming it to fit? I need the stabilizer flying wires and lugs, will Post War Chief fit or is this a local fabrication? I have aluminum wing struts so I guess those are original? I am a couple week...

Wind generator wanted

I emailed Curtis and his reply is that he has sold out of the surplus wind generators. However, I now have the generator for a Ward Aero wind generator, all I need is the prop. Thanks for your help!!
