Re: N1120H goes back to Canada
That would be a dream come true...it would be a long haul from San Francisco to Manitoba in my Cessna 170B but it's not out of the realm of possibility!

Re: N1120H goes back to Canada
Great news! Over the past 2 years 3 months, the Canadian owners who bought N1120H (SN #136) did a great job of fixing her up she flew again today under her old Canadian registration C-GRZA. Doesn't she look great on skis? http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a39/aaryana/Aeronca%20Aux%20Tank%20Data/ED4D4...

Re: LED or HID Landing & Taxi Lights?
A few of my C-170 pals are running this inexpensive LED light. Look around and you can find it for around $100: Grote Trilliant® 36 LED Whitelight Work Lamp 63821-5 Here is a link to a PDF from Grote which on the second page shows some actual picture comparisons of the same light from an incandescen...

Re: Aeronca Aux fuel tank documentation
I haven't heard anything from them. I tried calling and emailing but no luck. I am really curious to see how N1120H ended up!

Re: Aeronca Aux fuel tank documentation
My pleasure Joe. It belongs in the hands of the Sedan community and I should have dug it up sooner.

Re: Aeronca Aux fuel tank documentation
Aryana, The information you have provided must surely be of great interest to Sedan owners. I have looked through it to see if perhaps it was applicable to my 11AC but I guess not. Having come to that conclusion after only a cursory review, I will surely reread it much more thoroughly to confirm th...

Re: N1120H goes back to Canada
Hi Joe! They made it up to Manitoba in one piece. They drove for four days and sent me this pic of the Sedan in snow. I sent their info off to Matt S so that 15AC-136 can still be updated in his registry. Hopefully the new owner hops on here as you mentioned. He said he is going to spend the winter ...

Re: Landing gear Bungee cords
Joe, I had a helper but could have probably done it alone. I tried a couple different bungee tools. Abandoned them when one broke from the tension.

Re: Landing gear Bungee cords
Amazing to know that the bungees can be replaced without removing the gear. I had absolutely no chance of slipping mine on even with the gear tucked as far in as possible. I hoisted the entire front up, removed one leg at a time, installed the new bungees, and then levered the gear out to stretch th...

Re: Fishing Rod Tubes
It would have definitely fit a set a skis. I don't have much on this besides the picture...there was no documentation as this was added when the plane spent 20 years up in the Canadian bush country.
