Re: 6 gallon wing tank installation

Thanks Paul, The tank I have is the std. triangular 6-gallon tank from Safe Air Repair. It is supposed to sit on a wooden shelf. In the installation kit, however, there are several bits and pieces which are puzzling - eg. small pieces of wood. These small parts aren't really obvious in the drawings....

6 gallon wing tank installation

Does someone know if there is a step-by-step list of instructions on how to install a 6 gallon wing tank in a Champ? I have the tank and the drawings, bought from Safe Air Repair ten years ago (yeah, I know - I got busy doing something else  ) but would like to have written instructions, like ...

Re: Engine Mounts - Different Kinds?

Thanks Mike,

Since I don't need a starter I assume that I shall be able to use the same mount.

Engine Mounts - Different Kinds?

Considering an engine upgrade for the Champ I have come across an ad on Barnstormers for an engine mount. The ad says the mount is for an A65/75 or C85 but not for C90 or O-200.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what the difference might be between a mount for an A65 and an O-200?

How sad. I remember visiting Buzz at his home in Clark, SD, in 1991. True, he was a 'colorful' individual, but a friendly, warm and generous friend to me.
He had a son, Cole, who is a truly remarkable guy as well.

Hi Joe, I hope you are doing well and having fun. I wanted to avoid having to tear apart the front end of the airplane, so I glued a patch of aluminum foil over the hairline crack today. Hopefully, that will do the trick. I hope to hear from you if your travels bring you over to these parts. Best Bent

Need nose fuel tank for 11AC

Hi, A friend of mine has a Chief with a cracked fuel tank. He is looking to buy a replacement tank. I have searched Univair's and Wag-Aero's websites without any luck. Please could someone with access to an 11AC service manual look up the p/n for me? Also, would anyone have a serviceable tank for sa...

Hi Joe,

Howzitgoin'?

The Goodyear brake pucks didn't stay at $4.50....!

Would anyone have the measurements of a new piston and a new anvil puck? I'll try to make some.

Happy Christmas to everyone at NAA.
