Bob, yes I have wing tanks in both wings so that will be one of the first things I check out. They have worked great so far but at least I'll know now to watch for the venting problems.

Keith, The way I can manage to bounce around on my no bounce gear on a hard surface runway now is bad enough. I'm afraid with those 26" balloons on there I'll for sure end up on America's funniest.

I haven't heard anything but good regarding the VG's. My Champ with a 90 will pull me off the ground in about 250' but I'm looking for an even slower fence and touchdown speed because I do good to get stopped in much under 400'. Certainly those aren't bad numbers but I just feel that the Champ with the bigger motor has so much untapped potential that I want to explore it. If I ever get to use my skis I'm sure the VG's will be a big plus. The big tires might also open up some options. One thing at a time though.
